This article is going to be about Internet Marketing For Beginners. Don’t worry, you’re not going to be “sold at”, I’m just going to talk about this business concept. You can decide whether it’s suitable for you or not. Internet Marketing is suitable for a lot of people, as long they have the right work ethic and business sense. Feel free to take down some notes so that you have an idea about what Internet Marketing might and might not be. I will guide you along the way by explaining the different concepts.
Let’s first try and define Internet Marketing. The Internet has been around for nearly two decades. It’s a place where you can share information online with the click of a button and talk to someone on the opposite side of the world. The concept of marketing is that which more people have trouble understanding. If you’ve been online for quite some time, then you might have heard other terms being thrown around, such as “Affiliate Marketing” or “Network Marketing”. What is the “marketing” in each of these forms of Online Business?
Marketing is essentially problem solving through helping people who are after a certain something find it. A successful marketer is able to find a group of people who are after a certain solution to their problem, a source from which they can supply a solution and deftly integrate the two together. How about Network Marketing? It’s all about appealing to the people who are desperate to leave the daily grind for a better life. Identify the problem and solve it. That’s what Internet Marketers do.
Since I am writing about Internet Marketing for beginners, I won’t make the concept too hard but think about it this way. Is there something you complain about, everyday? Is there someone you complain to everyday about this problem? Those who are good complainers are usually also good marketers, since they’re aware of the problems they have.
Affiliate Marketing is something that many newbie Internet Marketers get started in. They find a group of complaining people and refer them to a solution. The solution-seller gives them a cut of the profits in return. Even though it is essentially sales, you shouldn’t see yourself as a salesperson. Think of yourself as a problem solver.
There are several areas of Internet Marketing that I haven’t talked about yet, such as Keyword Research, Competition Analysis and so forth. Hopefully you’ll hang around to hear more about it. Watch out for the next episode of Internet Marketing for Beginners!
